Short description

Plain English is enough: say what is happening, where it is, and what changed before the problem started.

Serving Brent, wider NW London, and selected West London postcodes. Send your postcode and 2–4 clear photos for a quick quote.

A short description helps judge whether the job looks like a small visit, fault finding or a broader quoted job. Plain English is better than guessed technical language.

What to include

  • What is not working, or what you want changed
  • The exact room, point or control involved
  • When it started, or whether it followed another job, a product change or decorating
  • Anything important about the symptom: dead, intermittent, loose, hot, tripping, buzzing, damaged or suddenly failed

What slows things down

  • Messages like “electrics problem” with no symptom or location
  • No mention of what changed or when the problem started
  • No photos when the issue is visible on the fitting, switch, socket, fan or control
  • Guessing at technical terms instead of just describing what you can see

What can change the scope

  • If more than one fault is involved, the first step may be prioritising rather than pricing one simple fix
  • If the whole circuit is out, the board is tripping, or there are signs of heat damage, the job may need fault finding or an urgent call-or-text-first check
  • If you have already bought a specific product, a link or model number helps confirm compatibility before booking
