Photos are optional, but two to four useful views can help show the accessory type, finish, condition, location and likely difficulty before anyone travels. Only take them from normal, safe access: keep electrical covers in place and never climb, reach or move anything unsafe for an enquiry photo.

Useful photos, if they are safe to take

  • One straight-on photo of the point
  • One wider context photo showing the surrounding wall, ceiling or area
  • One close-up of any damage, marking or label if relevant
  • One extra product, model or access photo if it would answer an obvious question
  • Keep covers and faceplates in place; a photo never requires access to wiring or live parts

What to avoid

  • Dark, blurry or distant photos
  • Photos so tight that the context is impossible to read
  • Unsafe access, removing a fixed cover or touching damaged electrical equipment
