The visit begins by comparing the agreed job with the point, access, chosen product and existing condition. A focused visit checks the worked-on point and the relevant part of its circuit; it is not automatically an inspection of the whole home. The electrician should isolate safely, complete the agreed work, carry out the checks that apply and explain the result before leaving. Work should not move beyond the agreed plan without an explanation and your agreement.

What happens on the day

  • Protect the surrounding area, isolate safely and carry out the planned work tidily.
  • Test the worked-on point, fitting or control setup as relevant to the job.
  • Pause and explain the options before any separate work or price is agreed.

What a clear handover includes

  • A short explanation of what was done and anything important that was found.
  • Relevant checks or basic operation confirmed without unnecessary jargon.
  • Sensible app, schedule or control walkthrough where smart kit is involved.
  • The appropriate record or certificate where the completed work requires one.
  • For work that needs electrical inspection, testing, certification or notification, we arrange the appropriate registered professional and confirm responsibilities before work starts.
